Emma Hart, the Richard S. Dunn Director of the McNeil Center for Early American Studies, recently spoke with EAS Miscellany, the digital companion to Early American Studies: An Interdisciplinary Journal. In her second year in her role as director, Professor Hart reflected on what it means to lead the Center, her ideas for engaging with the early Americanist community, and her vision for the McNeil Center's future, including her thoughts on the upcoming semiquincentennial.
